Our roots date back to 1985, when master golf architect Tom Fazio was invited, to craft Pelican's Nest Golf Course. The course was an immediate sensation, taking home multiple honors and was ranked as the "#3 Best Public Golf Course" in the United States by Golf Digest, giving Mr. Fazio his first appearance on the list of "Best New Courses". Pelican’s Nest Golf Courses were recognized in 2001 by Audubon International, with a Certificate of Achievement as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” a real testament of the membership to protect and enhance our environment and we strive to continue this cherished designation for many years to come.
“Located south of Fort Myers in Bonita Springs and just inland from the Gulf of Mexico is Tom Fazio's gracefully designed Pelican's Nest Golf Club at Pelican Landing. It is a well-thought-out design, carved from a forest of live oaks and scrub pines on ideal sandy soil. There's nothing flashy about Pelican's Nest, it's just a natural-looking layout that encourages you to return and play it again and again." - Golf Digest
"The Nest" is known for it's hospitality, our members provide an environment where a variety of age groups can participate in a wide spectrum of golf events and social activities to invoke an avenue for new friendships and camaraderie among all the members. We continue to attract members from around the world with most of them living right here in our community of Pelican Landing and the surrounding areas of Bonita Springs, Estero and Naples.
" In golf there are no strangers, only friends you've never met. " - Bill Campbell
